Section 143 — Repeal and Savings.

143(1)

The following enactments shall stand repealed on and from the dates the notification referred to in sub-section (2) of section 1 is issued, namely:—

143(1)(a) The Factories Act, 1948 (63 of 1948);

143(1)(b) The Plantations Labour Act, 1951 (69 of 1951);

143(1)(c) The Mines Act, 1952 (35 of 1952);

143(1)(d) The Working Journalists and other Newspaper Employees (Conditions of Service) and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1955 (45 of 1955);

143(1)(e) The Working Journalists (Fixation of Rates of Wages) Act, 1958 (29 of 1958);

143(1)(f) The Motor Transport Workers Act, 1961 (27 of 1961);

143(1)(g) The Beedi and Cigar Workers (Conditions of Employment) Act, 1966 (32 of 1966);

143(1)(h) The Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970 (37 of 1970);

143(1)(i) The Sales Promotion Employees (Conditions of Service) Act, 1976 (11 of 1976);

143(1)(j) The Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1979 (30 of 1979);

143(1)(k) The Cine-Workers and Cinema Theatre Workers (Regulation of Employment) Act, 1981 (50 of 1981);

143(1)(l) The Dock Workers (Safety, Health and Welfare) Act, 1986 (54 of 1986);

143(1)(m) The Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1996 (27 of 1996).
