Rule 42 — Time limit for payment of cess and rate of interest.

42(1)

Date of payment of cess shall be the date on which the amount is deposited with the cess collector under clauses (a) and (b) of sub-rule (2) of rule41, or the date of deduction at source under clause (d) of sub-rule (2) of rule41, or the date on which the amount has been deposited with the local authority under clause (c) of sub-rule (2) of rule41, as the case may be.
