Rule 9 — National Social Security Board.

When a vacancy occurs or is likely to occur in the membership of the National Social Security Board, Member-Secretary of the Board shall submit a report to the Central Government and on receipt of such report, the Central Government may, by notification, nominate a person to fill the vacancy in the manner specified under sub-rules (1) and (2) of rule 9, and the person so nominated shall hold office for the remainder of the term of office of the member in whose place he is nominated.
